Article Processing Charges
BCS publishes all its articles in full open access, meaning unlimited use and reuse of articles, in addition to giving credit to the authors, under a Creative Commons (CC BY) license. The license under CC BY allows the reusers to distribute, remix, adapt, and build upon the material in any medium or format, so long as attribution is given to the creator. The license allows for commercial use.
BCS has no funding agencies; therefore, administration of BCS has recommended the Article Processing Charges (APC) of 150 USD for faculty members and 100 USD for students to bear the cost of publishing the research contributions as of 11 April 2022. The APC covers the following:
- Editorial Workflow
- Publication Process
- Archiving of Published Content
- Website Maintenance
- Any other required processes
The APC can be deposited using the following banking details:
|Bank Title:||Trade Bank of Iraq|
|IBAN:||IQ52 TRIQ 9952 0747 9056 110|
As recommended by BCS’ administration, the corresponding author would be billed with the APC before the Double Blind Peer Review (DBPR) process and 30% of APC is non-refundable by any means once the research article is processed (after the completion of DBPR). If any submitted article is rejected in Desk Review process, the authors would be billed with no APC (See Publication Process).
iRAPA (the publisher of BCS) has no funding and sponsorship from Government or any other funding agency. The publisher accommodates the expenses of publishing only through fee collection from authors.
Authors and Readers are encouraged to contribute, in terms of donations, to the organization other than the APC.
